Medical Leadership

Dr. Ashfaque M. Hajwane

He is a medical graduate specializing in the field of Occupational Health and Diving Medicine. He has undergone specialized WHO training in Maritime Occupational Health from the Institute of Maritime and Tropical Medicine, Gdynia, Poland, as well as training in diving medicine in the UK.

He has various fellowships and memberships in the fields of industrial, maritime and environmental medicine. He is a member of the Indian Association of Occupational Health and the International Maritime Health Association, and specializes in Marine Medical Services.

Coming from a family of seafarers, he also has first-hand familiarity with life and work culture aboard ships, shipping logistics and the maritime industry.

Dr. (Mrs) Shamim A. Hajwane

She is an Occupational Health Physician and Director of the organization. She oversees quality and system management, with a particular focus on industrial healthcare.

She is also in charge of the Vashi Centre and contributes to the organization's occupational healthcare operations and quality systems.
